Operations Manager
About this role
The Operations Manager will be responsible for ensuring efficient day-to-day operations, effective resource utilisation, strong team performance and compliance with relevant operational, environmental, health and safety requirements.
The successful candidate will provide operational leadership, monitor performance, coordinate teams and processes, manage operational resources and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, productivity and service delivery.
The ideal candidate should have a Bachelor\'s degree in Operations, Business, Environmental Science or a related field, together with relevant experience in manufacturing, waste management, logistics or another operational environment.
Strong leadership, financial management, problem-solving and operational planning skills are required. Knowledge of NEMA requirements and Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) compliance will be an important advantage.
Requirements
Bachelor\'s degree in Operations Management, Business Administration, Environmental Science or a related field.
Proven experience in operations management or a similar operational leadership position.
Relevant experience in manufacturing, waste management, logistics, supply chain or related operational services.
Strong team leadership and people management skills.
Strong operational planning and coordination skills.
Strong financial and budget management skills.
Experience monitoring operational KPIs and performance indicators.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Knowledge of operational risk management and process improvement.
Knowledge of NEMA requirements and environmental compliance in Kenya.
Knowledge of Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) requirements and workplace safety practices.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to manage multiple operational priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Strong analytical and reporting skills.
High level of integrity, accountability and professionalism.
